VASTIQ Solutions Sdn Bhd participated in and considered the significance of the event, with Ts. Nicholas Morgan representing VASTIQ Northern at the MyCIF Penang Roadshow.
The Malaysia Co-Investment Fund (MyCIF) will host the Penang roadshow on February 18, 2025, to promote financing opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Kedah, Penang, Perlis, and northern Perak.
Themed "Empowering Financing, Advancing Growth," the event will take place at The Light Hotel Penang in Seberang Jaya, as announced in a statement by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).
Organized by the SC in collaboration with the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), the one-day MyCIF roadshow will provide insights into equity crowdfunding (ECF) and peer-to-peer (P2P) financing as alternative funding options.
"This collaboration leverages NCIA’s extensive experience in empowering business communities within the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), which includes Penang, Perak, Kedah, and Perlis," the statement noted.
The roadshow aims to improve financing accessibility for businesses in the northern region while raising awareness of MyCIF, ECF, and P2P financing in supporting MSMEs.
"There are over 220,000 MSMEs in the northern region, playing a crucial role in contributing to the regional economy.
"Attendees will have the opportunity to network with SC-registered ECF and P2P platform operators, as well as government agencies," the statement added.
